Kids’ birthdays are magical, and a little chaotic. Our private party space in downtown Canmore turns the chaos into the fun kind: a themed world built around your kid, activities that actually land for the age, and a party you get to enjoy instead of run. You bring the cake and the birthday kid.
One weekend the room is a unicorn tea party with twinkle lights, the next it’s a karaoke stage for mini pop stars, a superhero hideout, or a teepee slumber party with a glow-in-the-dark dance battle. We build the world around whatever your kid is dreaming up, add activity zones that fit the age, and keep the whole thing private, just your party.
Bring your own pizza and cake and run it your way, or hand us the theme and let us do the building, the hosting and the cleanup. Send our event planners the birthday kid’s name, age and obsession of the month, and they’ll come back with some options and availability.
The Spark Room is the party engine: themed decor floor to ceiling, the disco ball on duty, and room for craft corners, treasure hunts and a proper dance floor. The Bunny Den kids’ corner keeps tiny siblings busy, and the Thrive Room next door becomes the Parents’ Lounge when the grownups want their own corner.
Tell us the theme and the age, and the room is built before the first guest arrives.
Every kids’ birthday booking includes:
Make it the best day ever:
Bring your own pizza and cake, order in, or let us build themed snack tables that match the party world. Non-alcoholic drinks for the kids plus coffee and tea for the adults come with every booking, and if the grownups want something stronger, adult drinks are bring-your-own under an AGLC Special Event Licence; ask us and we’ll explain how it works.
Can we bring our own food and birthday cake?
Yes, please do. Bring your own pizza and cake for a budget-friendly party, with no sneaky fee for outside food. If you would rather not think about food at all, we can create themed snack tables instead. Either way, nobody is scrubbing frosting out of your carpet afterwards.
What’s included, do you run the activities or is it just the room?
Your choice. Book the space, bring your own decorations and run the show yourself, or go full-service and we build the themed world, run the activities and handle the glitter storm afterwards. Craft corners, treasure hunts, group games, the disco-ball dance floor: we build the party around your kid.
What party themes can you do?
Whatever your kid is currently obsessed with. We have built Hot Wheels racetracks, mermaid spa salons, teepee slumber parties, unicorn tea parties with twinkle lights, superhero hideouts and karaoke stages for mini pop stars. If the obsession changes twice before the party, we get it; we have kids in this town too.
Is the party private, or will we share the space with other groups?
Private. Your party gets its own space, so the birthday kid is never competing with a stranger’s party two tables over. The theme, the music and the schedule are entirely yours.
What ages work best for a party here?
Roughly four to twelve, because the space adapts. Little ones get toy-filled play zones, crafts and tea parties. The eight-to-twelve crowd gets karaoke, glow-in-the-dark dance battles, treasure hunts and teepee movie nights. Tell us the age and we’ll pitch activities that actually land.
What do the parents do during the party?
Our favourite question. Jump into the fun, or book the Parents’ Lounge next door and finish a conversation and a charcuterie board while the kids party within earshot. Close enough for cake, far enough to breathe.
How much does a kids birthday party cost?
It depends how much you want us to do. Bringing your own pizza and cake sits at the budget-friendly end; full themed builds with activities run for you cost more, because we do the building, the hosting and the cleanup. Send the date, age, headcount and dream theme and we’ll come back with options and availability, with no surprise line items.
We have a winter birthday. Is this a good indoor option?
Winter is when this space shines. Bow Valley winter birthdays usually mean the pool or hoping the weather holds; our downtown Canmore room is warm, private and fully themed no matter what the mountains are doing. A snowstorm on party day changes nothing but the drive.
How far in advance should we book?
Earlier than you think for weekends; those slots go first, especially in winter and around school breaks. A few weeks ahead is usually comfortable, and more lead time helps for a full themed build. If the party is suddenly this Saturday, ask anyway and we’ll tell you straight away what’s possible.
Do you handle setup and cleanup?
For themed parties, yes, that’s the whole point: we build the world before you arrive and deal with the aftermath, glitter included. For bring-your-own parties we set the space and you handle your own decorations, with a simple tidy-up at the end.
