Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt turns downtown Canmore into your playing field. We design the hunt around your group, a bachelorette, a birthday crew, or a team that needs shaking out of the meeting room, and our private space is home base for the briefing, the scoring and the celebration after.

Every hunt here is written fresh for your people: challenges built around the guest of honour or the team, balanced groups so strangers become teammates, and a warm room waiting at the finish line for the tally, the prizes and the stories. Home base is twenty minutes from Banff and always warm, so mountain weather gets less of a vote in how the day goes.

Tell our event planners who’s hunting and what you’re celebrating, and they’ll come back with some options and availability.

INQUIRE

  • The hunt starts and ends here. Teams get their briefing over drinks, head out into downtown Canmore, and come back to a room set for the finale: scoreboard, prize table, and food ready for hungry victors.

Book the Spark Room for a lively finish with music and karaoke, or the Thrive Room for a lounge-style wind-down while the scores are argued.

  • Every scavenger hunt booking includes:

    • A hunt designed around your group, never off the shelf
    • Private home base before, during and after
    • Team setup and scoring handled for you
    • Tables and seating ready for the wrap-up
    • Sound system for the victory playlist
  • Round out the day:

    • Photo booth for team photos before the whistle and after the win
    • Karaoke as the afterparty main event
    • Audio guestbook for mid-hunt confessions and victory speeches
    • Decor styling for a themed hunt finale
    • A mimosa bar for daytime hunts that end in brunch
  • Hunters come back hungry. Order in for the finish, bring your own spread, or have it catered; ask us and we’ll point you to local options. Celebration drinks pour under an AGLC Special Event Licence, no corkage and no bar minimums. Alcohol stays indoors at home base; the front patio is licence-free.

  • Is there a scavenger hunt in Canmore for bachelorette parties?
Yes, and it’s one of our favourite things to build. Challenges written around the bride, teams that mix her friend groups on purpose, and a private room waiting for the prizes and the party after.

Does it work for team building?
Very well. A hunt gets colleagues solving problems and laughing outside the office faster than any icebreaker, and the debrief back at home base is where the good stories land.

    How many people can join?
Teams scale with your group. The home base takes up to 100 mingling, around 60 seated for the wrap-up meal, and a hunt for an intimate 10 works just as well as a big field.

Can the hunt be customized to our group?
That’s the whole point. Every hunt is written fresh: inside jokes, trivia about the guest of honour, or company lore for a team day. Tell us about your people and we’ll take it from there.

What happens if the weather turns?
Mountain weather keeps things interesting, so every hunt has a warm, dry home base. We shape the route and challenges around the forecast so the day works either way.

Is there a space for drinks or an afterparty at the end?
Built in. The hunt finishes where it started, in your private room, with food staged, drinks poured and the scoreboard ready to crown somebody insufferable for the rest of the weekend.

How far is Canmore from Banff for a group activity?
About twenty minutes. Groups staying in Banff head over for the hunt and the afterparty, then roll home along the valley.

How far ahead should we book?
A few weeks minimum, since each hunt is written for your group. Summer weekends and bachelorette season deserve a couple of months’ head start.
