Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s dinner out means booking in January, paying February prices, and being politely hurried through dessert. Ours means a private room in downtown Canmore, an evening that moves at your pace, and a date that doesn’t look like everyone else’s.

Picture an indoor floor picnic under warm lamps, a playlist you actually chose, and no server hovering with the bill. Add a paint session for two, a sound bath, or karaoke with an audience of one. It works as beautifully for a couples’ night with friends as it does for just the two of you, and if a proposal is on your mind, we set the scene and keep the secret.

Tell our event planners the evening you’re imagining and they’ll come back with some options and availability. February 14th goes early; nearby dates are often kinder.

INQUIRE

  • For two, we style a corner of the room so it wraps around you: floor picnic or a proper table, candlelight-level lamps, and the rest of the space in soft shadow. For a couples’ night or a bigger Valentine’s party, the Thrive Room opens up with lounge seating and space to mingle, and the Spark Room adds a dance floor under the disco ball.

Say the word romance, playful or full party, and the setup follows.

  • Every Valentine’s booking comes with:

    • Complete privacy, one booking, no other tables
    • The layout styled to your evening before you arrive
    • Sound system for your soundtrack
    • Kitchen corner for staging dinner and dessert
    • No closing rush; the evening ends when you say
  • Make the date unforgettable:

    • Decor styling, from subtle candlelit to all-out romantic
    • Paint session for two, or a canvas each and a friendly contest
    • Sound bath with crystal singing bowls, calm you can share
    • Tarot and crystal readings for a playful thread through the night
    • Photo booth or the photo corner for proof it happened
    • Proposal setup, quietly arranged, secret guaranteed
  • Bring dinner from your favourite spot, order in, or have the night catered. Ask us and we’ll point you to local options. Wine and bubbly pour under an AGLC Special Event Licence, no corkage fee and no minimums, so the good bottle finally gets its moment. Alcohol stays indoors; the front patio is licence-free for a starlit pause.

  • What’s a unique Valentine’s Day date idea in Canmore besides dinner?
A private room styled just for your evening: an indoor picnic, a paint session for two, a sound bath, karaoke for an audience of one. Dinner can still happen, it just happens without the crowd.

Can we book the space for just the two of us?
Yes. An intimate setup for two is styled close and warm, with the rest of the room in soft shadow, so the space feels made for exactly two people.

Can we host a bigger Valentine’s or couples’ party?
Absolutely. The room takes around 60 seated or up to 100 mingling, so a couples’ night, a singles’ party or a full Valentine’s bash all fit.

How early do Valentine’s reservations fill up in Canmore and Banff?
Restaurants start filling by mid-January, and the 14th books earliest everywhere, including here. The weekend either side is often easier and every bit as romantic.

Is this a good Valentine’s option for visitors staying in Banff?
Very. We’re twenty minutes from Banff in downtown Canmore, an easy evening trip, and the drive home through the mountains is its own kind of romantic.

Can you help with a proposal?
Quietly, yes. Tell us the plan and we’ll set the scene, time the moment and keep the secret. Nobody’s ever guessed from our end.

Can we bring our own wine and dinner?
Yes to both. Your own wine under an AGLC Special Event Licence with no corkage, and dinner from wherever you love, staged in our kitchen corner.

    What if we don’t drink?
The night doesn’t need it. Hot chocolate by candlelight, an alcohol-free toast, and the paint, music and company do the rest.
