Paint Night

Paint Night

A paint night should feel like a night with your people, canvases up, glasses full, and nobody you didn’t invite. Ours runs in a private room in downtown Canmore, on the date your group picks.

Choose your style of evening: a guided canvas session where everyone follows along and somehow every painting turns out different, or a mandala workshop for something more meditative. First-timers do wonderfully here; the room is patient and the company is encouraging. It suits birthdays, bachelorettes, team nights and Galentine’s afternoons alike.

Tell our event planners your date and group size, and they’ll come back with some options and availability.

INQUIRE

  • Easels and canvases go up in the Spark Room with good light and elbow room, brushes and paints laid out before you arrive. The mood is cozy studio, warm lamps and a playlist underneath the brushstrokes.

Painting as part of a bigger celebration? Add the Thrive Room for dinner or lounging, and the night flows from canvas to couch without anyone lifting a table.

  • Every paint night booking includes:

    • A private room and a date your group chooses
    • Tables and painting stations set before you arrive
    • Sound system for the background playlist
    • Kitchen corner for drinks and snacks
    • Aprons-on encouragement for absolute beginners
  • Shape the night your way:

    • Guided canvas session with step-by-step instruction
    • Mandala painting workshop for a slower, mindful evening
    • Sound bath to close the night in full calm
    • A mimosa bar for daytime paint-and-brunch groups
    • Photo booth for portraits with the masterpieces
  • Paint and sip means your sip: bring your own wine under an AGLC Special Event Licence, with no corkage fee and no bar minimum. Snacks and grazing boards can be brought, ordered in or catered; ask us and we’ll point you to local options. Alcohol stays indoors, and the front patio is licence-free for paint-drying breaks.

  • Where can I book a private paint and sip in Canmore?
Here. Your group only, in a private room in downtown Canmore, on the night you choose. Public paint nights sell tickets to strangers on fixed dates; this one is built around your calendar and your people.

Can I bring my own wine to a paint night?
Yes, that’s half the fun. Your own wine pours under an AGLC Special Event Licence, no corkage, no bar minimums, which public paint nights inside bars can’t offer.

Do we get an instructor, or do we paint on our own?
Your pick. A guided session walks everyone through a canvas step by step, or book the space and supplies for a freestyle night. The mandala workshop sits somewhere lovely in between.

How many people can paint together?
Painting stations suit groups from an intimate 10 up to around 60 seated, and a mingling crowd of up to 100 works when painting is one part of a bigger night.

    I can’t paint. Will I enjoy it?
Most of our painters say exactly that on the way in and leave carrying their canvas like a trophy. Guided sessions are built for beginners, and the wine helps the brush relax.

Is this good for a bachelorette or birthday?
One of the best. Painting gives the night a shared story, and add-ons like karaoke or a sound bath turn it into a full celebration arc.

Is there a paint night near Banff that isn’t inside a bar?
That’s us, twenty minutes from Banff in downtown Canmore. A dedicated private room with the whole evening to yourselves, easels up and playlist on.

How far ahead should we book?
A few weeks for most dates, longer for summer weekends and February. Guided sessions need a little lead time to arrange, so earlier always helps.
